"Even though it has only been two weeks, it is clear that this is community with caring educators and involved parents," Stager said. The Coffee and Conversation events will continue monthly "to focus on something that the district is doing," and "to get feedback from the community as we move forward," Stager said. The superintendent has already shared a 90-day plan with the community, sent a survey to teachers and held a series of "Coffee and Conversation" with parents. Saying the district is "well known for its excellent academic outcomes and excellent support programs," with "quality educators, leaders, support staff and personnel," Stager said her goal is to "build off the district's strengths to continue to increase the academic and student excellence that defines it." Johanna Ruberto, who had been interim superintendent, will remain available through June 30 for administrative support during the transition. Stager was hired after a months-long search for a new superintendent. Her son is thrilled to be playing lacrosse and she is thrilled to be in her new office. Everything is happening at the time it should be. There was no time for a family vacation during the break but it's all good, Stager said. Melissa Stager has been appointed the new Superintendent of Schools for Clinton Township.
